Water Bill: How to Pay by Text Message
The Text to Pay water bill payment option can be set up at the Water Utilities Customer Care page.
********IF ACCOUNT IS REGISTERED ONLINE********
If you have registered your account online, use the following instructions. If you have not registered, skip to the section “Setting up Text to Pay with No Online Registration” (further below).
On the Water Utilities Customer Care page, select Login and then log in with your email address and password.
Select Auto Pay Sign Up, listed under Payments on the left side of the screen.
Select Auto Pay, located at the bottom of the screen.
If a default method of payment has been set up for the account, skip to step 8. If no method of payment has been set up for the account, select My Profile at the top of the screen and then select Payment Methods. If using a mobile device, select the menu icon (that looks like three bars) in the upper right corner of the screen and then select My Profile and then Payment Methods.
The Saved Payment Methods screen will display. On the Saved Payment Methods screen, select Add New Credit Card (to add a credit card) or Add New Bank (to add a bank account to deduct from).
Enter the required information. Select the Default checkbox to make this method the default payment method to use. Select Save Credit Card Information or Save Bank Information after entering all of the required information.
Select My Profile at the top of the screen and then select Pay by Text. If using a mobile device, select the menu icon (that looks like three bars) in the upper right corner of the screen and then select My Profile and then Pay by Text.
Enter your preferred notification settings and then select Save my changes.
Check your mobile device for a text similar to the one shown below. Reply OK to complete the registration process.
When the next bill is ready for payment, the system sends a text message showing the amount due and the payment due date. When ready to apply the payment, reply OK to the text message.
The system will confirm the total amount to pay. Reply PAY to approve the payment.
The specified default payment method will be used to apply the payment. As long as your account is set up with Text to Pay you will receive a text for each month’s bill.

On the Water Utilities Customer Care page, select Make a One-Time Payment.
