Water Service: Start or Turn On Water Service

Only the primary account holder may request to start water service. Place the service request:

  • online at: Water Service Request (after you submit the form, a representative will contact you to complete the request)
  • by calling 316-265-1300
  • or in person at City Hall, 455 N. Main Street, 8th floor

A deposit is required for starting service. The deposit is waived after signing up for Water Bill Auto Pay or evidence of twelve continuous months of on-time utility payments at any utility.

Either a social security number or an individual tax identification number (ITIN) must be provided.

If service has been stopped for nonpayment at the property within the 90 days prior to the request for service, verification is required. Provide the following documents: photo identification and one of the following:

  • Lease Agreement
  • Deed showing new ownership

Bring the identification and documentation to the 8th floor at City Hall, 455 N. Main to complete the request.
